Mimon is a town situated in the Ceska Lipa region close to the Luzicke hory mountains. The area around is often called the Ralska pahorkatina upland. Its history is very long (the Stone age) so the place is very interesting and useful for archaeologists. Two rivers cross the town, Plucnice and the Panensky stream, both of them are affluents of Labe. There are very interesting facades of buildings from 19th century. The town got over a large fire when 283 buildings burnt down. The 14th century was very significant time for the town, the emperor Karel IV gave to the town customs laws. A great business expansion followed afterwards.
